Arrive at Miami International Airport, pick-up your rental car and proceed to your hotel for a two night stay. Miami is an international city, rich with a multi-ethnic culture which is reflected in the cuisine and architecture. The beaches are a great way to relax as you absorb the pastel buildings and turquoise waters. Enjoy a day at leisure. In the evening, take a short drive to South Beach’s Lincoln Road, this pedestrian-friendly outdoors Mall is home to ove 175 specialty shops, outdoor cafes, restaurants and galleries. For a special treat visit Ghirardelli Chocolatiers where you will be greeted at the door with a sample of their delectable chocolate; aside from the overhealming aroma of sweets in the air, the sheer size of the store is enough to impress even the premier chocolate connoisseur. Warm breezes, swaying palm trees, and the sound of the waves washing ashore act as a backdrop for pastel-colored, Art Deco buildings making Miami’s South Beach a stunning and often intoxicatingly beautiful place. It has been called the American Riviera by seasoned travelers, but there’s more to this city than fine white sand and turquoise waters. Consider a visit to Parrot Jungle Island, which is home to the “best trained bird show in the world.” Meet over 1100 colorful and exotic birds in this tropical landscape. At the Miami Seaquarium® see world-class marine life entertainment with eight different animal shows featuring dolphins and killer whales. The aquarium also offers educational presentations, including one where you can feed a sea lion! In the evening, visit Bayside Marketplace, it offers specialty shops and outdoor entertainment. Several types of tours also depart from here, including sightseeing cruises and party boats.
Depart Miami Beach and drive north toward Fort Lauderdale, known as the “Venice of America” because of the intricate canal system. The arts and entertainment district of Fort Lauderdale runs along the Riverfront and Las Olas Boulevard. Here you will find quaint shops, cafes and galleries. After a brief stop, continue on to Kennedy Space Center. It is the site of the American Space Program and NASA headquarters where all Apollo moon missions were launched and all Space Shuttles lift off. At the Visitor Center, experience interactive simulators, live shows and close encounters with massive rockets. Meet a real member of NASA’s Astronaut Corps in the Astronaut Encounter. Make sure to see one of the IMAX space films on gigantic five-story screens. Continue on to St. Augustine for an overnight stay. Explore the historic district with its cobblestone streets and interesting shops. There are many dining options in the Old City, including authentic pubs, gourmet bistros, waterfront terraces, and unique, casual cafes.

Historic St. Augustine is the oldest permanent European settlement in the continental United States. Here, the blend of Spanish, English and American cultures come alive. Among the many points of interest is the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument, a fortress which served as the city’s outer defenses. It is the oldest remaining European fortification in the continental United States. Visit the Lightner Museum which is among the most unique, featuring an intriguing array of items, from shrunken heads and mummies to stunning collections of stained glass and crystal. Or, the Ripley’s Believe it or Not Museum, housed in the Castle Warden built in 1887, this is the first permanent Ripley’s collection. Continue on to Daytona Beach depicted in countless movies; it is the only beach where cars are allowed to drive on the sand. Visit Daytona Speedway, one of the most well known and largest car race tracks in the US. In the evening, the tour continues on to Orlando for a five-night stay. This evening visit Downtown Disney, with more than 70 shopping, entertainment and dining choices. You will have five nights to enjoy the magic of Orlando.

SeaWorld® Orlando – SeaWorld Orlando is a premiere marine adventure park. It features thrilling rides and amazing shows where the animals are the stars. Today, after departing Orlando, you will head toward Sarasota via Tampa to visit Busch Gardens Amusement Park. Sarasota is home to some of the most spectacular sandy beaches on the Gulf Coast. While it maintains its charm as a sleepy beach town, it boasts great family-oriented attractions. All sorts of water related activities are offered beach-side; canoeing, kayaking, paddle boating, jet skiing and snorkeling are just but a few of them. Visit the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art. This 20-acre waterfront property is comprised of the Cà d’Zan, a 20th century Venetian Gothic mansion, the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art, two circus museums and a theater. Or, stop by Mote Marine Aquarium for a firsthand view of the indigenous sea life.
This morning, consider a visit to Sarasota Jungle Garden. This is a former banana plantation that was redesigned as a botanic and zoological garden. With over 70 exotic and native animals, and a variety of tropical plants and flowers from around the world, there is a lot to see and do. Among the favorite attractions is the flamingo lagoon, the butterfly museum and the children’s farm. Continue to Fort Myers for a three-night stay. Fort Myers and the surrounding islands boast some of Florida’s most natural and lovely beaches. They are a haven for birds, wildlife and the sea turtles that come here to nest.

Today is yours to enjoy the fabulous beaches. You may choose to participate in one of the many water activities, take a lesson on how to windsurf, build a sand castle, or just relax by the shore while looking for some of the more than 400 species of seashells found here. Get intimate with the back bays and aquatic preserves that surround Fort Myers by taking a guided kayak tour which is sure to please everyone. Visit the historic winter homes of Thomas Edison and Henry Ford. Explore twenty acres of tropical gardens, the Edison laboratory, museum, inventions and exhibits. Or, you may choose to visit Key West for the day by way of the Key West Ferry. Once there you can visit the Key West Aquarium to pet a shark or feed a turtle. Take a photo in front of the buoy marking the southernmost point in the United States. Soak up the sun and enjoy the island view from a boat by taking one of the many snorkeling or fishing cruises, or visit the Pirate Soul Museum to view pirate artifacts and learn about their adventures.
While in Fort Myers, consider a stop at the J. N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge. It is located on the neighboring barrier island of Sanibel. The refuge is part of the largest undeveloped mangrove ecosystem in the United States. It is world famous for its spectacular bird populations and home to over 50 types of reptiles. Enjoy a walk along the trails or rent a canoe for a closer view. Also available in this area is the Sanibel and Captiva Islands Dolphin Watch. Explore the wildlife in and around this picturesque area, which is home to birds, dolphins, manatees, otters and other local wildlife.
