Today you will continue on to Vergennes in Vermont. Along the way make a brief stop at the town of Waterbury home to one of the country’s best known specialty food manufacturers, Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream. Take a tour of the facility and can watch those delicious flavors being made. Samples and gifts are available. Continue on to Vergennes which lies near the lovely shores of Lake Champlain. This small but thriving village has three main city blocks that include excellent restaurants, small shops and a century-old opera house.
