Auto Tours USA specializes in self-drive vacation packages across the United States. Our tours combine pre-booked hotels, detailed driving itineraries, and rental cars, allowing you to explore at your own pace.

Can I customize my tour?

Yes. You can add extra nights before, during, or after your tour.

If you would like to remove cities, change destinations, or create a fully custom itinerary, our team’s assistance is required. In these cases, please contact us via email, and we will review your request and provide you with a new customized quote.

Do I need travel insurance?

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to cover trip interruption, medical expenses, and rental car protection.

Booking, Payment & Cancellations

How do I book a tour?

All tours are booked securely online through our website. Simply select your tour, travel dates, and any optional upgrades, then complete your reservation through our secure checkout. You will receive a confirmation email with full details.

Can I book by phone?

Auto Tours USA operates primarily online. All bookings must be completed online; however, our customer support team is available by email to assist with questions before or after booking.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept all major credit cards through our online booking platform. Payments are charged securely and your billing information is protected.

How do cancellations work?

Cancellation penalties depend on how close your cancellation is to your tour start date. Full details are available in our Terms & Conditions page.

Hotel & Accommodations

What type of hotels are included?

Hotel categories are specified individually within each tour itinerary. Accommodations vary by route and destination and are selected for comfort, location, and local character.

Can I extend a hotel stay?

Absolutely! You may add extra nights before, during, or after your tour. These can be added during booking or via your booking confirmation.

Car Rental & Driving

Do I need an International Driver’s License?

You must present your valid national driving license at car rental pickup.

If your license is not in the language of the country you’re renting in, an International Driving Permit (IDP) is strongly recommended for translation purposes.

Is rental car insurance included?

Yes, insurance is included for non-American and non-Canadian national citizens.

For U.S. and Canadian residents, comprehensive rental car insurance is NOT included in the tour price.

Basic liability coverage required by U.S. law may be provided by the rental company; however, collision damage, theft protection, and supplemental liability coverage are not included unless you have your own coverage or purchase it separately.

Travelers are responsible for ensuring appropriate coverage through:

  • Their personal auto insurance policy
  • Coverage offered by their credit card
  • Optional insurance purchased directly at the rental counter (such as LDW, CDW, or SLI)

We strongly recommend confirming insurance coverage before travel.

What if I experience a problem with the rental car during my tour?

Car rental providers include 24/7 roadside assistance as part of your rental package. If you experience an issue, contact the rental company’s emergency number provided at pickup.

Is there a minimum age to drive?

Most rental companies require drivers to be 25 years or older. Some may allow younger drivers with additional fees.

Tour Experience & Information

Are the tours guided?

No. All Auto Tours USA packages are self-drive, self-guided tours, allowing you to travel independently.

Do you provide maps and directions?

Yes. Each tour includes detailed itineraries with suggested routes, driving distances, and sightseeing highlights.

What’s included in my tour package?

What isn’t included in the price?
