Drive west on I-4 through one of the agricultural areas of central Florida and arrive in Tampa Bay. Tampa Bay is Florida’s largest open-water estuary extending more than 400 miles. You may choose to make a stop in Ybor City which was founded in the 1880s by cigar manufacturers and has the oldest continuously operated restaurant in Florida, Columbia Restaurant which serves Cuban cuisine. Located on the Gulf of Mexico, you will find Clearwater Beach which was awarded Florida’s best beach town in January of2013. Connected to Clearwater Beach in St. Pete Beach and many small beach towns in between.

Head south along the gulf coast to beautiful Sarasota, a popular beach resort with lots of quaint shops and a great place to pick up the ice-cream cone to cool down from the Florida heat! Continue on your journey south to Naples. Also founded in the 1880s, the name caught on when promoters described the bay as “surpassing the bay of Naples, Italy”.
